Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TECH HOLDINGS INTERNATIONAL LLC, doing business as Tech Ocean Lines (“TechOceanLines,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information through techoceanlines.com and related communications about our Port Everglades–Mariel maritime service. Our business address is 11410 NW 20 ST, SUITE 224, MIAMI, FL 33172, United States. For privacy questions or requests, email info@techoceanlines.com.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers website visits, Contact Us inquiries, booking requests, requests for access to commercial tariffs, service contract applications, and related business correspondence. Some website features may not yet be available. The sections describing those features apply when you use them after they are enabled; their inclusion does not mean they are currently accepting submissions.

This policy is separate from our transportation terms, bills of lading, tariffs, and service contracts. Submitting information does not confirm a booking, guarantee cargo acceptance, or establish a service contract.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact inquiries: your name, email address, subject, message, and any company name or telephone number you choose to provide.
  • Booking requests: company and contact details, route, requested sailing date, cargo availability date, commodity description, dangerous goods declarations, and additional requirements. Depending on the selected service, this may include container types and quantities, estimated cargo weight per container, package types and quantities, dimensions, weights, calculated shipment totals, special handling requirements, and applicable UN number, hazard class, or packing group information.
  • Tariff access and service contract requests: business identity, country, company activity, contact details, and, where requested, business address, website, contact role, expected cargo volumes, shipping frequency, equipment needs, and proposed contract period.
  • Request administration: submission dates, references, review status, relevant correspondence, internal operational notes, notification outcomes, and privacy acknowledgements where recorded by the relevant system.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and information used by hosting, email, and anti-spam services to operate and protect the website. Our custom request controls use a salted identifier derived from the connecting IP address for rate limiting; hosting and security providers may separately process the IP address itself.

Please provide business information relevant to your request. Do not include payment card details, account passwords, Social Security numbers, passport copies, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in general inquiry or cargo-description fields. If you supply another person’s details, make sure you are authorized to do so and provide them with this policy as appropriate.

3. Why we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; assess route, capacity, equipment, and cargo-handling requirements; prepare quotations; review bookings and service contract applications; verify requested access to commercial rates; communicate request status; arrange accepted services; maintain appropriate business records; prevent spam, fraud, and misuse; and meet applicable legal, regulatory, customs, transportation, and recordkeeping obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in business communications, service administration, and security, subject to applicable safeguards. We seek consent where legally required. A required privacy acknowledgement is not consent to promotional email. We do not use a contact or booking submission as a newsletter subscription.

4. Providers and other recipients

Our website uses WordPress hosted through Namecheap EasyWP, Namecheap Private Email for business email, WPForms Lite for the Contact Us form, and WP Mail SMTP for email delivery integration. Our custom booking system maintains private request records within WordPress when submissions are enabled. Contact messages submitted through WPForms Lite are delivered to our designated business mailbox; a local WordPress entry inbox is not part of our current Contact Us setup.

Cloudflare Turnstile, where enabled on a form, processes technical and browser signals to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. It is used for security, not advertising. Information about that processing is available in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Information may be accessed by authorized personnel and service providers supporting hosting, email, security, and business administration. For an accepted or proposed shipment, we may share relevant details with vessel operators, port or terminal operators, agents, freight or logistics partners, customs brokers, insurers, and professional advisers as needed for the requested service. We may also disclose information to authorities where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or respond to legal proceedings. Some operational recipients act under their own legal responsibilities and privacy notices.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and website security

The website and its providers may use cookies, temporary tokens, or similar technologies for essential website functions, form security, authenticated administration, and abuse prevention. When verified tariff access is enabled, a secure access cookie maintains authorized access for up to 24 hours. Email verification links for that feature expire after 30 minutes and can be used only once. Do not forward private verification links to others.

We do not currently operate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, a newsletter platform, or a website chat service. You can manage cookies through your browser, although blocking essential technologies may prevent forms or protected access from working. If we introduce optional tracking, we will update the relevant disclosures and obtain consent where required.

6. Retention

Our retention periods are:

  • General inquiries: three months after the inquiry is closed.
  • Booking, tariff-access, or service contract requests that do not result in an operation or contract: three months after final review, withdrawal, rejection, or closure.
  • Records relating to actual transportation or executed contracts: for the periods required by applicable transportation, customs, tax, contractual, and other recordkeeping obligations.

We may retain relevant information longer to resolve an active dispute, comply with a legal hold or regulatory requirement, or investigate a security incident. These periods apply to the records we control, including relevant mailbox correspondence and private request records. Residual copies may remain in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten under the applicable backup cycle; if restored, applicable deletion requirements must be reapplied. Technical logs and security tokens may follow separate, purpose-limited retention cycles operated by us or our providers.

7. Security and international processing

We use measures intended to protect information, including HTTPS, restricted administrative access, private booking records, and form-security controls where enabled. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive documents by ordinary contact form or email unless we have agreed on an appropriate method.

We operate from the United States. Our providers and transportation partners may process information in other countries, including locations necessary to support a requested Port Everglades–Mariel shipment. Privacy laws may differ between countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the relevant transfer must be made subject to those requirements.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You may choose not to provide optional information. Without information necessary to identify your business, respond to you, verify access, or assess cargo, we may be unable to process the relevant request.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction of processing, or to object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions, including required transportation and business records. Where available, you may also complain to a competent privacy regulator.

Send requests to info@techoceanlines.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Include enough information to locate the relevant correspondence or request reference, but do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel. We may reasonably verify your identity or authority before acting and will respond within any applicable legal deadline.

9. Business audience and external websites

Our website is intended for business users arranging maritime or logistics services, not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information. Links to external websites are provided for convenience; their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices.

10. Updates and contact

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, or legal obligations. The effective date above identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
